China has abundant solar energy resources

China has abundant solar energy resources, with a theoretical reserve of 1700 billion tons of standard coal per year. The potential for the development and utilization of solar energy resources is very broad. China is located in the northern hemisphere, with a north-south and east-west distance of over 5000 kilometers. On the vast land of China, there are abundant solar energy resources. The annual average daily radiation in most regions is more than 4 kilowatt hours per square meter, and the maximum daily radiation in Xizang is 7 kilowatt hours per square meter. The annual sunshine hours are greater than 2000 hours. Compared with other countries at the same latitude, it is similar to the United States and much superior to Europe and Japan, thus having enormous development potential.
Development status
The photovoltaic power generation industry in China started in the 1970s and entered a period of steady development in the mid-1990s. The production of solar cells and components has steadily increased year by year. After more than 30 years of effort, we have entered a new stage of rapid development. Under the strong impetus of national projects such as the "Bright Project" and the "Electricity Transmission to Villages", as well as the global photovoltaic market, China's photovoltaic power generation industry has developed rapidly.
